Aurora High School is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Austin Lawrence as the school’s new Assistant Principal. Mr. Lawrence will join the administrative team and will work alongside staff and students to support the school’s continued commitment to academic excellence, student success, and a positive school culture.
A graduate of Aurora High School, Mr. Lawrence has deep roots in the community. He and his family are proud members of the Aurora school community, with his children currently attending Aurora schools. In addition to his work in education, Mr. Lawrence has been actively involved in supporting Aurora students through his role as a coach, further demonstrating his commitment to developing young people both inside and outside the classroom.
Mr. Lawrence brings a strong background in education, leadership, and student support. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to building meaningful relationships with students, collaborating with teachers, and fostering an environment where all learners can thrive. His experience and dedication to Aurora make him a valuable addition to the Aurora High School leadership team.

Dr. Scott Spooner, incoming Principal of Aurora High School, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment.
"We are excited to welcome Mr. Lawrence to this leadership role at Aurora High School," said Dr. Spooner. "As a graduate of Aurora and a current coach with children in our schools, he understands the pride and tradition of our community. Austin brings a student-centered mindset, strong leadership skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting teachers and students. I am confident he will make a positive impact on our school community."
