Aurora R8 is proud to announce that Mr. Jason Chappell will serve as the Junior High principal for the 2026-2027 school year.
Mr. Chappell brings a wealth of educational experience to the role, having served in a variety of positions, including teacher, coach, assistant principal, athletic director, and, for the last two years, as Director of the Alternative Learning Center. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to building meaningful relationships with students, supporting staff, and improving student outcomes.

During his time in the district, Mr. Chappell has been recognized for his student-centered approach and his ability to connect with students from all backgrounds. His leadership has focused on creating supportive environments where students feel valued and motivated to succeed.
As Junior High Principal, Mr. Chappell will focus on strengthening academic achievement, fostering positive student behavior, and supporting teachers in delivering high-quality instruction.
