Aurora High School

During the 2021-2022 school year, Aurora R-VIII students were out of school for six days due to inclement weather.   Four of the days were considered Alternative Method of Instruction Days (AMI) where students were able to complete assignments through technology or hard copies provided to parents.   Two of the days were additional hours built into the calendar based on Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements.  Since the number of hours attending is above the required amount, Aurora R-VIII students will not make up the additional two days missed.  April 22 and April 29 were scheduled as the first two make-up days.  Students will not have to come to school on these Fridays.  Unless additional days are missed due to inclement weather, Aurora R-VIII students will not have to make up any days for the year.  If you have questions, please call Central Office at 417-678-3373.
