Fourteen Aurora Junior High students competed in the Middle-Level FBLA State Leadership Conference this spring. Future Business Leaders of America is a national organization that inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. Over 350 students from across the state participated in the virtual conference and competition this year. A virtual Awards of Excellence Ceremony was held on May 6, where students were recognized for top ten placement in 26 competitive events. Placing in the top ten for Aurora were the following students:

1st in Intro to Computer Science & Coding- Hunter Dillon

4th in Public Speaking- Carissa Simagna

4th in Community Service Project- Cooper Blackburn, Madison Daniels, and Keegan Koetzle

6th in Internet & Computer Concepts- Hunter Dillon

8th in Business Math & Financial Literacy- Madison Daniels

8th in Keyboard Applications 1- Hunter Dillon

8th in in Internet & Computer Concepts- Abigail Harmon

8th in Intro to Computer Science & Coding- Abigail Harmon

8th in Marketing Concepts- Carissa Simagna

9th in Keyboarding Applications 1- Ethan Wolf
